After more than forty years of teaching, I still find new challenges in every day and in every student. It is an honor to be a part of children’s learning and development. I have worked as a reading teacher and a teacher for students who are learning English as their second or third language. I received a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Virginia, and I earned an M.Ed. in Reading from the University of New Hampshire.
Arlington was my home until I was 16 years old, but I couldn’t stay away, so I returned in 1998 to teach in Arlington Public Schools. I have also taught in Berwick, Maine and Stanardsville, Charlottesville, and Richmond, Virginia. For experience and adventure I taught for two years in Quito, Ecuador and two years in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
A few of my favorite activities are traveling, reading, baking, drawing, and hiking.
