Students explore WEATHER in 4th grade. We study and use tools for measuring weather, and we build a windsock. We observe, name and paint cloud types. We experiment with the water cycle by making it “rain” in the classroom…with a hot plate, a pot and some ice cubes! And then we become meteorologists, predicting and recording weather. Finally, students study extreme weather and create safety brochures for each type of storm. Students will reach out to a community in need as a result of destruction and hardship caused by such weather.
